The purpose of this division is to perform all administrative duties and carry out policies and procedures as directed by the Chief of Police and City Council. The Administration Division is under the command of Chief Jay Reeves. The division also includes Captain Scott Riske and Captain Chris Hudson. These administrators have a lot to manage. Here are just some of their common tasks:
-Emergency Communication Services
-Records Management
-Information Technology
-Preparation and administration of the budget
-Contract Administration
-Training
-Appointment and retention of employees
-Internal Investigations (including all employee grievances and citizen complaints against the department)
-Maintenance of all personnel files and department records in accordance with city, state and federal requirements (including Uniform Crime Reporting “UCR”)
-The continued evaluation and implementation of community policing
